Following the break in play due to COVID the league is a bit different this year. We are trying to get the right combination of teams for next season. The last couple of years have seen teams change significantly- some getting stronger, some having lost players and so not all teams are in the right division. This is why we are going into the Second Phase.
It is hoped to start the Second Phase as early as possible in March. The groupings will be based on the league positions after phase one – hence the need for completion ASAP.
The top FOUR teams in Div 1 will become Division A and will play each other Home and Away. This will give six more games each.
The remaining TWO teams from Div 1 will join the top THREE teams of Div 2 and become Division B. Teams will only play new opponents Home and Away so whereas the Div 2 teams will only have four more games the Div 1 teams will have six games
The remaining THREE teams from Div 2 will be joined by the top TWO teams from Div 3 and become Division C Teams will only play new opponents Home and Away so the Div 2 teams will have four more games and the DIv 3 teams will have six more games.
The remaining FOUR teams from Div 3 will become Division D and will play each other Home and Away. This will give six more games each.
For all Divisions the second phase standings will retain the results from games against the teams from the same division in phase one.
At the completion of the second phase the standings in the new divisions will inform the entry to this season’s Play-Off competition.
